Privacy Policy
Tapuzzle is published by SonnetStudio. You can play as a guest or use Google Play Games. Progress and preferences are stored on your device. Versions with online services also send gameplay events, feedback, leaderboard scores and purchase records to our backend, as described below. Advertising and analytics providers may process additional information.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android version of Tapuzzle (package name com.sonnetstudio.slidingmerge) published by SonnetStudio. By using the game, you acknowledge the practices described below.
2. Information stored locally
Tapuzzle stores progress, settings, language, tutorial state, virtual currency and power-up balances locally. If you use Google Play Games cloud saves, game save data is also stored through Google. Clearing local storage does not remove server records.
2a. Online game services
Our backend receives a random installation identifier for guest access, or validates a Google Play Games authorization code and player identifier for Google sign-in. Stored player identifiers are pseudonymized separately for each game. We do not request your Google password, email inbox, contacts or payment-card details. Authorization codes are exchanged server-side and are not kept as player profile data.
We collect session starts and heartbeats, foreground/background changes, game mode, level attempts and outcomes, duration, score, reward/ad/item/purchase-flow events, app version and event timestamps. We use these records to measure active and new players, retention, mode usage and game stability. Feedback includes the text you choose to submit, submission time and app version. Avoid including unnecessary personal information in feedback.
We store submitted leaderboard scores and Google Play purchase identifiers, product, quantity, currency, reported price, verified amount, purchase status and refund notifications. Purchase tokens are used to check purchases with Google. Client-reported prices are distinguished from verified charges. Network providers also process IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security. Guest and Google identities are currently separate.
3. Advertising and consent
Tapuzzle uses Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to display ads and manage consent choices. Depending on your region, device settings, and choices, Google and its advertising partners may collect or share:
- IP address, which may be used to estimate a device's approximate location;
- device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID where available;
- app interactions such as app launches, taps, ad views, and video views;
- diagnostic and performance information, including SDK and app operation data; and
- your advertising consent and privacy choices.
Google may use this information for advertising, measurement, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service operation. Review the Google Privacy Policy and Google's business data privacy information for details.
4. Analytics and diagnostics
Automatic Unity Analytics collection is disabled starting with version 1.0.7. Earlier versions' Unity engine and Unity Analytics configuration may process an installation identifier, approximate location derived from network information, device and app characteristics, session information, gameplay interactions, and diagnostic or performance data. This information is used to understand game operation, improve stability and gameplay, and measure usage. It is processed by Unity on SonnetStudio's behalf. Learn more in Unity's Privacy Policy.
5. Data sharing and sale
SonnetStudio does not sell your personal information. Google provides advertising, Play Games and purchase verification; Unity provides the engine and configured analytics; Cloudflare hosts our game APIs, storage, queues and operational logs; Vercel hosts our website and restricted administration interface. Authorized SonnetStudio operators can view game records to support players, investigate problems and understand game usage. These providers process information for the services described here. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect users, rights and services.
6. Your choices
Where required, the game presents Google's consent message before requesting ads. You may accept, refuse, or manage available purposes and advertising partners. Where a privacy-options entry is required, you may reopen it from the game's settings and update or withdraw a previous choice. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings. Analytics rights, including access, deletion, or opt-out rights, may depend on your location and applicable law; you may contact us using the address below.
7. Retention and deletion
Local records remain until you clear app storage or uninstall. Our event database retains raw gameplay events for 30 days, archived event batches for up to 90 days, and daily aggregates and administrative audit records for 400 days. Player summaries, feedback, leaderboard and transaction records currently have no automatic expiry and are retained for support, game operation, reconciliation and applicable obligations. Contact us at the address below to request access or deletion; please provide only the identifier needed to locate your records, never passwords or payment-card details. We handle requests subject to applicable obligations and coordinate with providers where needed. Deleting local data does not automatically delete server records. Google and Unity retain their records according to their policies and settings.
8. Security and international processing
Local records are protected by Android's application sandbox. Data is transmitted using HTTPS or TLS. Purchase tokens are encrypted in our database and access to the administration interface requires authentication. Google, Unity, Cloudflare and Vercel may process information in countries other than your own. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.
9. Children
Tapuzzle is intended for a mixed audience, including children. Starting with version 1.0.7, a neutral screen asks users to select an age band before online services start. Only the selected band is saved on the device; we do not ask for a birth date or send the age band to our backend. Users younger than 16 and users whose age is unknown receive no ads, and the advertising SDK is not initialized for them. Their gameplay analytics and leaderboard mirrors are not sent to our backend; feedback is limited to preset issue categories. Necessary sign-in, game storage, support and verified purchase/reward services remain available. For eligible users aged 16 or older, ads are limited to Google's G content rating, with teen treatment applied to users aged 16–17. Google Play purchases remain subject to account eligibility and any parental purchase-approval settings. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us so that we can review the request and take appropriate action.
10. Changes
We may update this policy when the game, third-party services, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the effective date above.
